Basepoint are holding their first ever all-day Christmas Market, in conjunction with Wealden Citizens Advice and Uckfield Pop Up Markets. It's completely free for stallholders and visitors, so why not pop along! It promises to be a lovely festive community day, featuring:

🎅 A visit from Father Christmas
🎶 Performances from two local choirs
🐾 Company of Critters with their friendly animals
🎁 A range of local stalls and seasonal activities

The Mayor will officially open the event, and all funds raised on the day will go to support Wealden Citizens Advice. Come along on the day for a fun and festive occasion. 

Chiddingstone Castle’s 2025 Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 29th November between 10am and 4pm.

A wonderful array of Artisans, Craft, Vintage & Creative Small Businesses will be offering a selection of Christmas gifts, decorations and food and drink from over 60 hand-curated stalls inside the Castle and in the large, heated marquee in the Castle grounds. Visit Christmas at the Castle to shop locally and sustainably browsing unique products that are not found on the High Street and plenty of one of a kind vintage items.

Add a touch of seasonal magic to your Christmas shopping experience and explore this historic building full of festive sights and smells whilst finding something special for your home, for gifts, for the Christmas table and for you. Come along with friends and make a day of it.

Delicious food will be available from our food vendors along with Barristo coffee and hot drinks. Mulled wine and mince pies will also add to the seasonal cheer!

The beautiful countryside location of this lovely Castle is perfect for a relaxed shopping opportunity.

Pre Booked Online Tickets are discounted to £8.00 for adults and £4 for children until midnight Friday November 28th - pre booking allows us to manage staff levels and parking better as well as helping to keep entrance queues down on the day.

The gate and online price on the day is £10 adult and £5 child. Parking will be free for this event so please park at the castle rather than in the village.

This month sees our very first Late-Night Shopping Event on Friday 28th November, from 6pm - 9pm. We’re very excited to be welcoming several of our local suppliers for you to be able to try their specialist food and drink. For our part Cecil’s Kitchen will be providing complimentary canapés and mulled wine or fruit punch, and there will be plenty of other offers and festive treats available too…please see the image for more details…it should be a brilliant evening.
